Day 1: Arrival Amman |

At Amman Airport our representative welcomes you and assists you through immigration. He will match with your driver, who transfers you then for ca. 30 minutes to your hotel in Amman and helps you with the check-in. The rest of the day is free. |
Day 2: Explore the capital (B) |
|
After breakfast start your day with a private city tour of Amman. On the Citadel you will see remains from 3 different periods and have a panorama view over the capital. In the traditional area of downtown we have a look at the Roman Theater from 2nd century before we head to the modern parts of the city. We visit the Royal Automobile Museum (Tuesdays closed) exhibiting classic cars of the late King Hussein are exhibited. Another option in the same area is the visit of the Children's Museum, the only one of its kind in the whole Middle East. After an exciting day return to your hotel. |
Day 3: Jerash & Roman chariot races - Dead Sea - Amman (B) |

In the morning we drive ca. 50 km in the north to Jerash. This is the best preserved Roman provincial city in the whole Middle East. You enter the historical place via Hadrian's Arch, continue to Oval Plaza, the Roman Colonnaded Street. The Roman lifestyle gets alive during the Roman Army & Chariot Show (Tuesdays closed), where you can see racing chariots and fighting gladiators in an original setting. We end the day with leisure time at the Dead Sea, the lowest point on earth, where you can float on salty waters. Back to your hotel in Amman. |
Day 4: Amman - Kerak - Petra (B) |

Today we leave in southern direction to Petra, which will be drive from up to 3 hours. En route we visit the Crusader castle Kerak, perched on a rocky hill with impressing underground halls and corridors. From here we continue to your hotel in Petra where the rest of the day is free. |
Day 5: Petra visit - Wadi Rum (B, D) |

Breakfast, then start the visit of the rock city Petra. If you like to you can take a short horse ride or walk to the narrow gorge, the Siq, from where you go on to the beautiful Treasury. From there you can continue to the Street of Facades and the Royal Tombs. In the afternoon we drive 1.5 hrs to Wadi Rum, one of the most impressing desert landscapes in the world. After the amazing sunset you will have dinner at a Bedouin styled camp, where you spend also the night in tents. You make the magnificent experience of the starry desert sky. |
Day 6: Wadi Rum adventure - Aqaba (B) |

After breakfast explore the area - following the footsteps of Lawerence of Arabia - famous by 4x4 adventurous Jeep tour, stopping at Nabatean rock inscriptions and sand dunes. There is also the option of trying a ride on a camel, the "ship of the desert". After that we leave the desert behind and hit the road to Aqaba at the Red Sea, for check in at your hotel. |
Day 7-8: Aqaba at leisure (B) |

You have two leisure days in Aqaba, Jordan's only seaport. Relax at the beach or try one of the water activities to discover the varied marine life like snorkelling or a glass bottom boat ride. Overnight at hotels. |
Day 9: Aqaba - Amman Airport (B) |
|
Breakfast, then transfer transfer for 3.5 hrs to Amman Airport to say farewell and board your flight.
