This private guided trip serves as an example for an accessible tour in Jordan. It is based on 2 clients, travelling with a manual wheelchair. The itinerary is designed to provide maximum participation including important sights like Jerash, Mt. Nebo, Dead Sea, Petra and Wadi Rum. Moreover, the choosen hotels and the transport by a van with portable ramp shall make your holiday as barrier free as possible.

Day 1: Arrival Amman |

Upon arrival to Queen Alia Airport our representative welcomes you, assist you through the passport contro, the baggage claim area, the customs and matches with your tour leader. Transfer to your hotel in Amman for dinner & overnight. |
Day 2: Amman City Tour - Jerash - Amman overnight |

After breakfast start the day with a visit to the Citadel in Amman. From here you have a panorama view over the capital, view remains from 3 different periods and visit the excellent Archaeological Museum. We have a round in downtwon and continue to the Royal Car Museum, housing the classic car collection of the late King Hussein (Tuesdays closed). After that continue to Jerash, the best example of a Roman provincial city in the whole Middle East. Passing the Hippodrome visit Oval Plaza, the Cardo and see the Temple of Artemis. Overnight Amman hotel. |
Day 3: Amman - Desert Castles - Amman |

Today starts our tour to the Desert Castles in eastern Jordan. We visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site Amra Castle with its zodiac dome and the early examples of Omayyad fresco paintings. Moreover you view the fortress-like mysterious Qasr Kharanah and the black basalt fort at Azraq. We return to Amman for dinner and overnight at hotel. |
Day 4: Amman - Madaba - Mt. Nebo - King's Way - Petra |

In the morning we drive southwards to Madaba to view the famous mosaic 6th century map of Palestine in St. George's church. Then we drive to Mt. Nebo. This is the place where Prophet Moses gazed at the promised land before he died and believed to be his burial place. You visit the old monastery, overlook the Jordan Valley, Dead Sea and parts of the Holy Land. Along the ancient caravan route, the King's Way, we head for Petra. En route we have a short stop in Wadi Al-Mujib, a great wide valley with magnificent geological formation. Dinner & overnight in Petra. |
Day 5: Petra |

Today visit the red rose city Petra, the biggest attraction of Jordan. Petra was first established around the 6th century B.C. by the Nabataean Arabs, a nomadic tribe who settled in the area and founded a commercial empire. By horse carriage you will start from the Visitor's Center passing the Siq, a narrow gorge, till you reach the most beautiful monument: the Treasury. From here we continue along the Street of Facades, the Theatre and the Royal Tombs. Overnight in Petra. |
Day 6: Petra - Wadi Rum - Dead Sea |

In the morning we drive 1.5 hours southwards to the protected area of Wadi Rum, one of the most impressing desert landscapes in the world. Here still Bedouins live in a traditional way, and by 4x4 Jeep tour you discover canyons, sand dunes and Nabatean rock inscriptions. Then we head for the lowest point on earth, the Dead Sea, check in at your hotel, and have the rest of the day at leisure. |
