This trip starts with a visit to the highlights of Jordan like Jerash and the Dead Sea area. After that you will have a escape into nature. Two days you hike at a moderate grade through Dana, Wadi Feynan to Wadi Araba, a world crossed by the Bedouins since thousands of years. From Wadi Araba a Jeep takes you off road through dramatic desert scenery to the rock city Petra. After all these amazing impressions return back to Amman to fly back home.

Day 1: Arrival Amman |

Our representative welcomes you at Amman Airport, assists you immigration procedures and matches with your tour leader. Then transfer to your hotel in Amman for overnight. |
Day 2: Amman - Jerash - Ajloun - Dead Sea - Amman (B) |

Breakfast, then we drive in the north to visit the well preserved Roman city of Jerash with the Oval Plaza, the Cardo and the Temple of Artemis. From here we drive to the Islamic castle Ajloun with panorama views to the Jordan Valley. Go on to the lowest point on earth, to make the unique experience of floating on water. Overnight Amman hotel. |
Day 3: Amman - Madaba - Mt. Nebo - Kerak - Dana (B, D) |

In the morning we visit the famous mosaic map of the Holy Land from 6th century in St. George's Church. A short drive takes us to Mt. Nebo, believed to be the burial sight of Prophet Moses, his death is commemorated through an early Christian church decorated with marvelous mosaics. Move along the King's Way to Kerak to visit the Crusader Castle, then to Dana village for dinner and overnight. |
Day 4: Dana - Wadi Feynan (B, L, D) |

Dana Nature Reserve is characterized by a chain of valleys and mountains which extend from the top of the Jordan Rift Valley down to the desert lowlands of Wadi Araba. Today, the hike of about 6 hours, shows you the beauty and various nature of the area. The tour ends in Wadi Feynan, where 3000 years ago copper had been mined and worked up. Dinner and overnight in the Feynan Eco Lodge in the middle of the desert. |

After breakfast we continue our way to the wide Wadi Araba, part of the Great Rift Valley. Here let yourself affect by the beauty of the desert with gorges and mountains, reaching a height from 1.700 meter, the coloured splendour of the landscape, ranging from red to beige sand dunes. The area is still inhabited by Bedouin tribes. Dinner and overnight in a camp in Wadi Araba. |
Day 6: Wadi Araba - Namala - Little Petra - Petra (B, L) |

In the morning we go on by 4x4 Jeep off road to Wadi Namala, the connection to Little Petra. We have panorama views over the surrounding mountains there and certainly pay a visit to Little Petra, in Nabatean times the meeting point for the camel caravans. A short ride takes us to Petra, check in at your hotel, rest of the day is free. |
Day 7: Petra (B) |

Today tour to the red rose city Petra, Jordan's biggest attraction. Petra was established around the 6th century B.C. by the Nabataean Arabs, a nomadic tribe who settled in the area and founded a commercial empire. From the Visitor's Center we walk to the Siq, the narrow canyon, and go on to the most beautiful monument: the Treasury. Stroll along the Street of Facades and the Theatre to the Royal Tombs and Pharaoh's Castle. Overnight in Petra. |
Day 8: Petra - Amman (B, D) |

After a leisurely morning we drive via the Desert Highway back to the capital Amman, where you have time on your own to do some last minute shopping. Farewell dinner will be at an Arabic restaurant, overnight at hotel. |

After breakfast transfer to Amman Airport to say farewell and board your flight.
